Maxie in Foster the Dog needs a home
For Adoption:Per Maxie's current home: Maxie has great listening skills, stays by me without a leash, plays well with my other two dogs. I personally feel she may be better suited for someone that can give her one on one attention. She does fine with children and cats. She loves to chew bones and play fetch. Her bathroom issues are a continuous struggle. She can be outside, do both, I get ready to go to work, come back 15 minutes later and her cage is filled with pee. I tried leaving her out for a few hours alone and she tore my couch cushions and kitchen apart. She can sit and snuggle for hours no problem without peeing, but when she's in her crate it's a constant battle.
Maxie came to the adoption center at about 8 months old. They were from a local back yard breeder who had been unable to sell them and that they were getting too old. She and her sister Emmie had been kept together in a filthy crate with no other option but to sit in their own waste for hours on end. Emmie has been placed and is thriving. We really feel that Maxie can get there too, but she will need the guidance of a trainer/ behaviorist.
